What's left?
...and when I talked to my friends
and found out that you're having fun,
that you're swallowing life, that you're in the sun,
that you're fucking around,
that you're growing a new one...
I bellow out my voice, I yell out loud,
I have my shirt off in front of a crowd.
I tell them about you, and how you're gone, you're
gone, you're gone, you're gone, you're gone, you're
gone, you're gone, you're gone, you're gone, you're
gone, you're gone, you're gone, you're gone, you're
gone, you're gone, you're gone, you're gone, you're
gone, you're gone, you're gone, you're gone, you're
gone, you're gone, you're gone, you're gone, you're
gone, you're gone, you're gone, you're gone,
But am I lying?
Don't I have you in my mind the entire time?
Yes, I can leave all the places we went
but I can't leave without my bones you bent
so hobble along and now it's me who's gone.
Now it's me who has your fear of opening hearts
and all the false starts
We could near hope again
with this deep gouging biting back
with the way you get all my friends in the sack
"What's left?" I scream as I look up at night
where the novelty has totally worn off of moonlight
"Who cares?" and I roll on the ground
"What gives?" and there's no answering sound
and there's nobody around
and then my answer was found.

White Christmas

Downy bearded isolation
I was listening to Will Oldham,
And he sings this line,
'When you live like a hermit
You forget what you know',
And I am once more in constant solitude,
And I'm remembering more now than ever.
There's a lot to be said for downy bearded isolation.
I was listening to the voices
That offuscate my head;
And I live still like a hermit,
And drink like the snow,
And my thoughts scatter like birds upon the hill.
But if I disappear forever,
There's something I have left
For those with ears to listen or the heart to care.
Yes, 'You will miss me when I burn'

Suit the action to the word, the word to the action
Avant la représentation, il s'adresse aux comédiens, dispense ses recommandations et donne sa vision du jeu "juste"
(Acte III, Scène 2)
[version française ci-dessous]
Be not too tame neither, but let your own discretion be your tutor: suit the action to the word, the word to the action; with this special observance, that you overstep not the modesty of nature: for any thing so overdone is from the purpose of playing, whose end, both at the first and now, was and is, to hold the mirror up to nature; to show virtue her own feature, scorn her own image, and the very age and body of the time his form and pressure. Now this overdone, or come tardy off, though it make the unskilful laugh, cannot but make the judicious grieve; the censure of the which one must in your allowance overweigh a whole theatre of others. O, there be players that I have seen play, and heard others praise, and that highly, not to speak it profanely, that, neither having the accent of Christians nor the gait of Christian, pagan, nor man, have so strutted and bellowed that I have thought some of nature's journeymen had made men and not made them well, they imitated humanity so abominably.
And let those that play your clowns speak no more than is set down for them; for there be of them that will themselves laugh, to set on some quantity of barren spectators to laugh too; though, in the mean time, some necessary question of the play be then to be considered: that's villanous, and shows a most pitiful ambition in the fool that uses it. Go, make you ready.
Abbey Edwin Austin - The Play Scene in "Hamlet" (1897)

Plug & Play @ 24 images/s

Together or Apart
Well you're my friend
(It's what you told me)
And can you see
(What's inside of me)
Many times
We've been out drinking
And many times
We've shared our thoughts
But did you ever, ever notice
The kind of thoughts I got
Well you know I have a love
A love for everyone I know
And you know I have a drive
To live I won't let go
But can you see it's opposition
Comes a-rising up sometimes
That it's dreadful and position
Comes blacking in my mind
And that I see a darkness
And that I see a darkness
And that I see a darkness
And that I see a darkness
And did you know how much I love you
Is a hope that somehow you you
Can save me from this darkness
Well I hope that someday, buddy
We have peace in our lives
Together or apart
Alone or with our wives
That we can stop our whoring
And pull the smiles inside
And light it up forever
And never go to sleep
My best unbeaten brother
This isn't all I see
O no I see a darkness
O no I see a darkness
O no I see a darkness
O no I see a darkness
And did you know how much I love you
Is a hope that somehow you you
Can save me from this darkness
I see a darkness (Domino, 1999)
Angst Is not a Weltanschauung
