One step inside doesn't mean you understand

La nouvelle du jour. Notwist revient (après 6 ans d'absence)

Prepare your shoes not to come back soon, prepare your heart not to stop too soon. You cannot walk with us. One step inside doesn't mean you'll understand, one step inside doesn't mean I'm yours. In your world my feet are out of step, my arms won't move, my hands won't grab. I will never read your stupid map, so don't call me incomplete, you are the freak.

It's Good To Be Alive

On avait laissé Misophone en bad. Place à un optimisme sans faille. A lire ou écouter chaque matin s'il le faut. A faire partager, aussi

It's good to be alive
This sleep has been too long
the lidless life in this domain
has left me far from strong
but once again I see the eyes
Of young girls in the street

I am not here, I have not died
There's victory in defeat
And every morning now the door is open
And in the corner I adore
The widow left unbroken
And all is well and so it will
Remain for many years now
And though the days will not sit still
At least the flowers heads bow
Tea cup lungs are heaving
Misplaced loves are now ungrieving
And I am free from guilt
And I am free from guilt

Misophone - It's Good To Be Alive
Where has it all gone, all the beautiful music of our grandparents? it died with them, that's where it went... (Kning Disk, 2007)

Deluded and obscene

Got a sense of an overactive imagination
And a rather lonely girl
And someone I'd never know,
Sitting in her bedroom
With a neat pile of dolls and bears
With ridiculous names
The days pass unbearably
Another wee, another year
Wasting so much of what I'm given
A lack of desire to live
Does not amout to a need to die
And I have so much i want to live for
But nothing I would die for
I am a pitiful selfish and obscene
Ridiculous emasculated deluded and obscene

Misophone - Deluded and Obscene
